“The hottest trend in tourism globally is the idea of location as consumable through food and drink. Distilled spirits have an obvious home within this concept, but – with one very notable exception – there is no strong US-based spirits tourism culture. Developing a tourism destination which incorporates multiple distilleries requires developing a new regional brand identity, crafting experiences for tourists and marketing the destination to potential visitors.”
