This version of Simple Syrup should be used reasonably fast or refrigerated.This is the version we are talking about when we talk about simple syrup in recipes.
Ingredients
1cupsugar
1cupwater
Instructions
Combine 1 part sugar with 1 part hot water.
IF you want to use your syrup over a longer period of time and be less prone to mold, boil for 3 minutes. This step is optional.
Stir to combine (all sugar should be dissolved) and allow to cool.
