This is part 1 of a 9 part series exploring bourbon. A new part will be released each month building up to the Run the Bluegrass week of festivities held March 29 – April 2, 2017. We hope this series will whet your appetite for our state’s signature spirit.

We have some funny anecdotes to include in this copy but our website developer needs a little time to implement them in a way that makes them funnier.
Actually she also needs time to build a custom theme instead of using a prefab theme that was used in a rush since this one keeps breaking things that would normally be simple. Like stripping out bold formatting for example. Who writes a theme that strips out all bold formatting??? Why!
Anyway, check back soon for the version with additional funny bits. 🙂
Next up – Part II: Corn to Whiskey, or how Kentucky farmers in the 1800s took too much produce and started down the path of making America’s native spirit.
