Manahattan
Equipment
- 1 jigger
- 1 mixing glass Japanese Mixing glass ideally (other glasses can work)
- 1 Bar spoon
- 1 hawtorn strainer
- 1 coupe glass ideally
Ingredients
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 oz Sweet vermouth we used Carpano Antica Formula
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 1 garnish (optional) – quality cocktail cherry
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and ice in mixing glass
- Stir at length (90 seconds minimum) in mixing glass over hard ice.
- Strain into coupe.
- Garnish
Notes
For a “Dry Manhattan” change out the 1 oz of sweet vermouth for 1 oz dry vermouth like Dolin dry.
For a “Perfect Manhattan” change our the 1 oz of sweet vermouth for 1/2 oz of sweet vermouth AND 1/2 oz of dry vermouth.
