DAY 7 – Whiskey Margarita, Virgin Margarita & Bitter Buttered Popcorn (recipes below the video)
Whiskey Margarita
Juice of 1 lime
1 oz American Whisky (Hartfield & Co. used)
3 dashes orange bitters
1/4-1/2 oz Maraschino or other liqueur (orange liqueur)
Shake over ice
Double strain over fresh ice
top with sparkling water (2-4 oz depending on how light you want your drink)

Virgin Margarita
Juice of 1 lime
3 dashes orange bitters
1/2 oz simple syrup
Shake over ice
Double strain over fresh ice
top with sparkling water (2-4 oz depending on how light you want your drink)
Bitter Buttered Popcorn
Inspired by the recipe in Bitterman’s Field Guide to Bitter and Amari by Mark Bitterman (we made modifications)
Pop popcorn (about 1/2 cup kernels on stove)
Allow to cool
Melt 2 tblsp butter
Add 3 dashes Angostura bitters to the butter and blend
Combine the following dry spices in a bowl:
1/2 tsp salt
dash of paprika
barely a dash of cardamom powder
Toss the popcorn in the butter mixture
Sprinkle the spices and toss again
