Red Hot (& Spicy) Bourbon Cocktail
Combine in shaker:
• hard ice
• dash Angostura (more complex) or vanilla extract (more candy like)
• 1/2 t crushed red chili flakes
• 1/4 t ground cinnamon
• 1/4 oz simple syrup
• 2 oz Bourbon (we recommend a wheated like Maker’s Mark)
Hawthorne + fine mesh strain into rocks glass over fresh ice. Optional cinnamon stick garnish.
Mocktail version: substitute Bourbon with 2 oz Elmwood Inn Kentucky Blend tea, brewed and chilled.
