Crazy Cabin Fever Cocktails “Keeping your Spirits Up!” with Distilled Living
This series will be live streaming on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter at 9pm EST ON WEDNESDAYS and the video will be available to rewatch afterward. (We did daily for 18 days but needed to shift focus.)
On Sunday March 15, 2020 we decided on a whim to do a Virtual Cocktail Series due to the cancelation of group events due to COVID-19. We didn’t plan the series out, we announced it ON social media about 2 hours before we did the first livestream (it helps that Tim is married to Hilary Baumann of http://www.fascinationdesign.com who could set this up quickly!) And we started working the technology kinks out as we went. On the second week we started working in Mocktails for anyone who needed to pace themselves.
Crazy Cabin Fever Cocktails is featuring as many Kentucky produced products as we can but it’s also based on what we have in our cabinet at the moment. Bourbon, Rye, Gin, even Rum, Vodka & Meade just to name a few of the ingredients we’ve used that were made in Kentucky.
Recipes & video are online below.
…after each livestream. And we’ve worked to try and give you some alternate ingredients here and there so you’re more likely to be able to use what you have on hand and make some of these cocktails at home.
If you don’t have a cocktail shaker at home or don’t have simple syrup, watch Day 1for how to use a mason jar as a cocktail shaker or make simple syrup with sugar and water in your glass. OR make some simple syrup in advance because it’s used in a LOT of cocktail recipes.
Want the full list of what we’ve done so far? Click on the day below to watch the video and get the recipes:
Day 1 • Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour, how to use a mason jar as a cocktail shaker & in glass simple syrup
Day 2 • Pink Pear Sour, aquafaba & Pantry Hot Toddy
